Goals

This e-learning module on water security in climate change transition aims at developing journalists' skills to better understand and adequately tackle a wide range of diverse water issues related to climate change in Africa. Climate change and in particular climate extremes pose serious threats to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the continent, with a high proportion of its inhabitants most vulnerable to its impacts (IPCCC).

Thus, a solid understanding of climate change impacts on water security, policies and actions is imperative to ensure mainstreaming and better aligning climate action in terms of both, resilience building, climate disaster risk reduction, across policies, programs, and socioeconomic sectors.

This module is structured in three video lessons, providing the international state of water and climate, consequences of climate change on access to water, and practical experience on sustainable management of water and sanitation.

Videos are available in english, french and arabic: to switch the language you can click on the headphone in each videolessons.
