Description

The IoE – EQ project intends to address Internet of Energy, that is strictly connected with the European policies on IoT in general, the Energy Strategy 2050 and according to the Digital Single Market pillars.

The course, composed of digitalized video lessons hyperlinked to different kind of didactic materials, will be delivered at distance by means of an advanced e-learning platform. To provide practical competences, complementary to the ones acquired by means of the e-learning courses, physical remotely controlled IoE demonstrators will be realized.

Since the projects objective is to produce the didactic materials and the demonstrators which will be availabe as open educational resources, as the most relevant priority is identified "Open and innovative practices in a digital era". Indeed, the “open and innovative practices” can be considered in “a digital era” era not only for the digital technologies widely adopted for the project delivery, but also for the topic of the project itself. In fact, Internet of Energy is a highly innovative technology that will bring the society and the corporate sector in the digital era. The main scope of the Internet of Energy technology is providing the consumers a highly reliable, flexible, resilien, efficient and cost effective power supply network.

Then, the partnership is aware that just the training courses themselves are incomplete to create skills that can be really spent in the labour market, especially internationally. For this reasons, the project also aims at creating a set of VET Qualifications, at different levels, to be awarded to trainees that successfully complete the courses and pass an assessment. The Qualifications are a fundamental instrument to certify the competences and the Learning Outcomes, and to ensure the real spendability of the acquired skills in the labour market. Of course, in order to be recognized and usable at European level, it is essential to design the Qualifications according to the European lifelong learning instruments (EQF, ECVET and EQAVET) and the recent e-Competence Framework 3.0, that will be adopted in the project. This, considering also that one of the specific objectives of this project is creating VET qualifications for professonals inside European Companies, with the scope of enhancing their digital competences and training them to introduce and manage IoE technologies and applications, justifies why the project objectives also fits the priority of “Transparency and recognition of skills and qualifications".

The consortium is a proper mix of academic and business partners, bringing complementary and qualified competences on IoE. Experts from different backgrounds and contexts will be able to contribute with distinguished contents, producing high quality outputs. This approach, that foresees the involvement of Universities and companies from the design to the delivery of the VET courses, ensures the possibility to bring into the courses the real problems, applications and technologies that the trainees will have to adopt on job. This consideration, jointly with the previous ones, justify why the project objectives also fits the priority of “Further strenghtening key competences in VET"

Objectives

The IoQ-EQ project has main objective of:

- qualifying new professionals able to support the digital transformation of the European companies exploiting to the advantages offered by the IoE technology.

This objective is reached by pursuing the specifically objectives of:

- raising awareness among European Small and Medium Enterprises of the IoE technologies and applications and of the potential benefits for their competitiveness and economical growth;

- creating VET qualifications for professionals inside European Companies, enhancing their digital competences and training them to introduce and manage IoE technologies and applications.

In order to pursue the specific objectives, a set of activities will be carried out, finally leading to the design, production and delivery of a set of VET courses on IoE.

UNINETTUNO Role
